This song pairs an original rework of the Randy Waugh song Black Lake with a rework co-written with Murray Webster. It is a musical story about how Tormod and Oighrig, characters of Randy’s second novel Evening Song – Òran Feasgair (ISBN-13: 978-0595533046), met and fell in love at the Black Lake music festival in Scotland in the 1700s. The piece transitions to Fiùran’s version of the traditional High Road to Gairloch.
